The human resources positions in companies are among the most important positions that are needed in companies to ensure success. The human resource manager has a very important role in the hierarchy of any company. He is positioned between the management and the employees and is responsible for appropriate communication at all staff levels.

One of the most important responsibilities of the human resource manager is to make sure that the timely recruitment of the required level and quality staff member occurs. A part of this process involves giving input for salary information which will include salary adjustments and promotions.

A motivational climate within any company is highly required. It is the responsibility of the human resources manager to make sure that a motivational climate exists and to make sure that that climate remains thus ensuring the growth of the company and its employees. A part of this process will include providing guidance, counsel and assistance to employees.

Resolving grievances within the workplace falls under the responsibilities of the human resource manager. Examples of common workplace grievances include: hostile and dangerous work environment, harassment, and abusive employees. If an employee is placed in any of these situations, he has the right to place a formal complaint. The human resource manager needs to make sure that this complaint is handled with care.

Training and development programs are essential to the growth of any company. The human resource manager is directly responsible for this growth. He need to make sure that the employees of a company follow necessary training programs such as ethics training, awareness programs, skills training or even sexual harassment trainings.

The duties of a human resource manager will differ from company to company based on the size of the company; however, it does not matter how small a company is, a human resource manager is of utter importance if that company has employees. The welfare of these employees lies in the hands of the human resource manager. The different facilities and opportunities that are needed by the employees to enhance their performance in the company can only be provided by a human resource manager.
